Should I be worried about our engagement?

Me and my fella have been together almost two years, I get on great with his family and two weeks ago he proposed to me, but he hasnt told his parents yet? I dont understand why I he wouldn't tell them sooner? I know its only been two weeks but I just wondered if this is normal for fellas?
