Where's a good place to record an album in LA?

I need to record an album with 6-8 tracks on it. Where's a good place with good equipment and how much do you think it would cost? Which place charges the least amount? I am single musician who plays all the instruments so the recording would be done by overdubbing each instrument so therefore each song would take about 5-6 hours.
